Spazztic Blurrはポートランド出身のクロスオーバー・スラッシュ・バンドで、Wehrmachtのメンバーによるサイド・プロジェクトとして1980年代後半に結成。超高速リフ、暴走ドラム、ナンセンスなユーモアを融合した“ジョーク・スラッシュ”の象徴的存在として知られています。本作は1988年にLPでのみ発表されたデビュー作を2001年に初CD化。スラッシュ、ハードコア、パンクの要素をコミカルにミックスした唯一無二のカルト名盤で、Earache初期の中でも特にコレクター人気の高い作品です。
Spazztic Blurr is a crossover thrash band from Portland, Oregon, formed in the late 1980s as a side project of Wehrmacht members. Known for their blistering speed, chaotic drumming, and absurd humor, they became icons of the “joke thrash” movement. This self-titled album “Spazztic Blurr” (Earache Records / MOSH 5CD) is the first-ever CD release, a 2001 reissue of their 1988 LP debut. Mixing thrash, hardcore, and punk with a wild comedic edge, it remains a cult favorite and one of the most collectible gems from Earache’s early catalog.
